As our industry takes steps back to the physical event space, we are working closely with our preferred venues to book events for 2021 with flexible terms on behalf of our clients, alongside stringent safety regulations to ensure a controlled and Covid-secure environment to return to.
We have been accredited with the ‘We’re Good To Go’ certification from Visit England, successfully creating our first Covid-secure event in September 2020, Lymington Pop Up Restaurant.
Events have had to pivot in 2020. From in-person indoor experiences to virtual, hybrid and alfresco, people’s desire to come together hasn’t waivered, allowing us to innovate and solidify our alfresco event offering, launching Unfurlough The Mind in late summer 2020.
Whether you are looking for a way to bring your teams back together in the open air, or simply a summer plan that you are likely to keep, our location in the New Forest gives us unrivalled access to some of the best event space in the South. Not that we’re biased..
Starting life as a production company means we have over 30 years’ experience designing and producing international conferences for global industry leaders.
From gala dinners and awards ceremonies in iconic venues around Europe, to hybrid break-out rooms hosting motivational workshops, we reach beyond the conference norm by bringing a packed programme of interactive experiences to each event.
As one of our core values, we are passionate about teams and understand that a company is only ever as good as its people. This ethos feeds into every team-building experience we create, on land or sea.
Living and working on the South Coast provides an incredible natural setting for team-building activities from sailing to forestry workshops, curated as packages from half a day to overnight stays.
Something we have all become more attuned to in 2020, and something companies need to focus more time and resource on as we work away from our teams, with distraction, reduced routine, and dwindling motivation.
Our range of wellbeing experiences range from employee engagement workshops in forest yurts, or yoga sailing days, to strategic wellbeing programmes and roaming wellbeing vehicles such as our Vehicle for Change.

Thinking of how to engage your team remotely, release your latest product, or bring people together again in a safe and secure way?
We’d love to talk.
Over the past 3 years we have been taking huge steps to choose sustainable options when creating events. Working with our clients from concept planning, we endeavour to always offer sustainable options we like to call onion layers – whether it is recycled set and staging, reusable cups and bottles, e-ticketing, plastic-free tableware or our closed-loop waste management solution for all waste produced on our events.
2020 was set to see our first international fully carbon-neutral event take place with no single-use plastic, commercial shipping routes used for haulage, biodegradable bubble wrap, and off-set staff travel.
Land & water activities
Many of our clients say their favourite part of our events is the opportunity to try activities they have never tried before – particularly if they include time on the water, something they don’t often get and the very reason we are based by the sea.
We provide the link between land and water, hosting guests on land-based activities such as mountain bike safaris and forest team-building exercises, before whipping them away on a speed or sail boat for an afternoon out at sea.
We like to do things a little differently at Onyx Events, so we seek out alternative venues to host unforgettable events with unique visual impact.
From caves to wine cellars, Guildhalls to Savoys, National History Museums to the lakeside villas of Lake Maggiore – we are driven to find the individual, weaving the thread of the event into the history of these incredible spaces.
