Impact Group – Solent
Onyx were delighted to receive a brief from the Impact Group, they wanted a fun team day out on the water for 15 of their directors that had flown in from around the world for meetings in the UK.
On the request of the client Onyx put together an action-packed schedule around the water, Onyx also sourced hotels and sorted the transport logistics for the group.
The delegates arrived on a train from London and were then transferred by taxi to the local marina. There was a fleet of high speed boats to take them over to the Isle of Wight for a huge fruit de mer supper in a local fish restaurant.
Onyx had a day of sailing planned for the following day, two beautiful 50ft yachts were selected by Onyx for the day. Some of the directors had to get up to London to catch flights. Onyx not wanting anyone to miss out on the action arranged for the yachts to race each other down the Solent and also have lunch onboard while they were sailing and drop the guests of in Portsmouth so they were closer to London.
A RIB was also thrown into the mix for high speed blasts, it was also used as a back-up transfer vessel if the yachts ran out of wind.
“Our team building weekend was a great success, with 15 directors and shareholders from four continents, running 7 companies it was a rare opportunity to have everyone together for an extended period of time. The consistent support from our initial enquiry through helping us when someone didn’t get off the train in time was excellent. A seamless and well organised service. Once we confirmed what we wanted, everything was handled for us, the excellent office staff was complimented by the team on the ground and the suppliers chosen to deliver the specialist activities. We will definitely be booking again when we next meet in the UK” Charlie Hamilton
The directors enjoyed an exciting two days on the water, they don’t get the chance very often to get together so this was the perfect opportunity to catch up and share ideas in a fun environment. Onyx look forward to working with Impact again in the future.
